Breathe But My NameBreathe but my name in silent prayer,
and I will meet you there -
in an open field of golden grass,
beneath the windmill, I'll wait and rest,
while moments come and moments pass;
until your shimmering shadow appears,
moving like sunlight on stalks of wheat,
as wildflowers dance and tickle our feet,
our giggling smiles and eyes will greet.

Breathe but my name in silent prayer,
and I will meet you there -
in the rushing current as streams converge,
then flowing as one, like a new song
heard in a dream as we both emerge
from the end of the old, forgotten path,
amidst the magic of fairyland falls,
of misty air and moss-covered rocks,

The GiftBlessed are we for all our works,
if even only one is heard,

purely, that it might inspire,
the written word of another's fire.

For from the lips words oft taste sweet,
alas, like fragments, left incomplete.

Though the heart they truly warm,
'tis by a new creation born

when love is shared, and love returned,
the infinite flame - the soul - doth burn.

Forever MoreIt's said true friendship is strong
A tree hundreds of years old
yet I saw a withered leaf falling
And the green begins to fade

Look beyond the withered leaf
See past the fading green
Look down into the soil
Where strong roots do grow.

I can hear dry branches cracking
And all the oncoming storms
Black clouds darkening the sky
Are we strong enough to prevail?

Though the branches may crack
As the winds bend them back

The rays of the sun can be found.

I don't want to lose what we had.
I don't want to see it die.
But the wind takes the leaves away.
A barren skeleton is what is left.

it lights the way on misty nights;
a serenading by the loon

We hear the hooting of the owl,
and raccoons sneaking, on the prowl;
the trees, their bark sticks out like runes,

hyenas cackle as they shout;
a breath of night makes flowers swoon,

and sink upon the light of day;

Lover,
When our wings intertwined
and I fell into your music –
(It flowed like a trance and
dampened my skin with droplets, pianissimo) –
I could have lost myself
in your sonata storm
and let my chitinous scales wash away.

I knew even then
those strings held you bound
in ways I never could.

Island of BlissAmbrosial waves crash upon a shore
with the hue of a burning golden sun.
Fuschia leis are set out to drift away
and fill the ancient spirit in my lungs.

The taste of a thriving exotic world
is captured within watermelon ice;
candy worn upon my softening lips
to whisper the melodies of the night.

And I wonder if this beautiful place
with hidden huts and animistic trees,
could be the kind of mesmerizing site
for such a paradise lover as me.

The emblems of life laying everywhere,
persuades me to waver with the sound
of anything that this nature may bring
from the tropic island all around.

Hate

Vile cold word
Describes the most despised emotion
No one loves it
Everyone fears it
Its edges cut deep into tender hearts
Absorbed and relished by hollow hearts
There is no escape
It lurks in the darkest part of the mind
Waiting to strike at any moment
The moment where the mind fails
Nothing is left between Hate and the body
Hate mutilates all love and care
Leaves the flesh scarred and cold
There is no room for love
Hate consumes all
There is no escape.

Unwanted GodhoodYou're such a faithful acolyte
I know you'd be here til the end
But I think it's time for me to go
Because what I need is a friend

Being worshiped gets old pretty fast
I'm not a god walking amongst men
Most of the time I admire such devotion
I'd just like to be human once again

You've put me up on a pedestal
And make sure there isn't any dust
If you had your way I'd be spotless
Devoid of things like rage and lust

The flaws I possess make me human
Perhaps that isn't enough in your eyes
Being the ideal is quite stressful
Which is why it's time to say our goodbyes

At first the god treatment was alright
Over time it just pulled

Morning RoutineI have little concern
for trivial things like
what to eat for breakfast
or if the oven is on
My life consists of very little
but what occupies it
is more than meaningful
Ordinary is of no importance
there is no such thing
Lock the doors
turn out the lights
sleep
In the morning
I dissect my dreams
over breakfast
They die before
I find their heart
before I drink the milk
I doubt they have one

Soul MateThese limbs trace foreign to my own
but I will learn to love them beautiful
because the lines of your skeleton
and the curves of your heartbeat
hold a precious hollow rhythm
that echoes my embrace

Celestial MemoriesOn silent lips the words let slip
Subtly dancing on wisps of summer breeze
In the imagination of a sleeping child

Sharp winter light guides doesn't pierce
Snow melting under the sun brings revelation
Of new life hidden within a blade of grass

Like a feather floating in the wind
Drifting from here to there
Happiness everywhere

A candle light flicking in the cold
Illuminating the dark in ways untold
To show the once unseen

My celestial memories drift on a cloud
Sparkle like a star and ride on waves of moonlight

I walked lonely and lonely on a silent street
Saw empty benches where dear ones meet
Underneath were impressions of invisible feet

Tenderly touched by the cool breeze
Heartily greeted by nodding trees
Oh! I was like a guest to a land of love and peace

The daffodils in yellow
Looked up and said hello!
I was standing in a meadow
Basking in The heavenly glow
Eternal bliss as far as the mind could go
Like an enchanted audience in a cardist's show.

The leaves so mesmerizing like the spades of cards
My joy now equivalent to the thirteen hearts
Clear water falling like diamonds
I felt like the queen of my club ready to co

Cardinal Dream

Through the doorway of an ancient hall
One step slowly follows another
No echo sounds upon these walls
In this passage of stillness, I move no further
Sensing a presence, I turn my head
A vibrant cardinal enters as I
Fast and mighty, a brilliant red
Brushes my cheek as it flies by
To the open window near the end
Looking beyond these walls of stone
Then back to me it comes again

Elemental UnionIf fire doth itself consume,
whilst ice imparts a fatal wound,
then left alone I would surmise
that both shall meet their own demise.

But should they merge their song and dance,
would fire melt the ice, perchance,
dousing its own smoldering remnants,
thereby together, both be cleansed?

When Two Souls DanceOne moment, eyes still as night
Look again and see them dance
Illuminated like twilight

Lost in searching eyes that wonder
They question and absorb
They ponder

Still guarded and protected
Until both souls see
Trust reflected

Then, entranced, so begins the dance
Curtsy reality
Bow to fantasy

Each becomes a welcomed guest
To hidden rooms explored
Dissipating boundaries

Swirling into every corner
With piercing penetration
All is given, all is taken

With truth revealed in each story told
Nothing concealed as dreams unfold
Thirst for more

Taste the lows and savor the highs
Though it be a great divide
Together cross the bridge of sighs

Through the Window PaneI see my angel in the snow,
running and playing through the wood.
She smiles at me as if to know
that I would follow if I could.

But looking through the pane instead,
I watch her walk into the deep;
the path of footprints I once tread
and in my heart will ever keep.

The EssenceFar beyond time and place
is where we find our sacred space,
where whispered prayers filled with love
echo deep down and from above,

where mind and spirit together ignite,
a harnessed energy of light
into a subtle pulsing wave
that beckons us and leads the way.

Across the threshold, beauty enters;
a grounding force pulls and centers.
Transparent and open then become,
our humbled souls, aligned as one.

Inner and outer sense entwine,
like a mirror reflects and shines
the distant horizons that await
a boundless landscape to create.

Morning Glory

Lovely harmonic words of rhyme
Dance gracefully to the beat of time
Raindrops patter and the wind chimes
Clouds break with sunbeams of colors sublime

The surface warms, then melts the core
A spectrum of love not seen before
Paints the canvas in rays of light
Thus vision is deep and clear in sight

For here it comes and lest it goes
O'haunting melody of sweet compose
Within the soul these metres ring
Reflect upon it, this voice that sings

Throughout each day and all night long
Honor the whisper of nature's song
